Sparkling Blanc de Blancs 2013
Fresh and fruity with brioche and yeast characters on the nose. The palate has a fine bead and flinty finish. Made from 100% chardonnay using traditional method with four years on lees.
Cool in the spring and the vineyard remained wet under foot. Heat wave in final weeks before picking.
Later than expected budburst. Some fertilising due to wet conditions. Extensive irrigation development. Chardonnay fruit some of the best we’ve seen. 8.5/10

“Lees age has brought texture and integration to the cool, tangy chardonnay of this Gippsland vineyard. Yeasty bubblegum complexity contrasts ripe peach and lemon fruit, finishing with tart acidity.” Rating 90/100
